BIOGRAPHY – Julia Fabris McBride


Julia Fabris McBride's Facebook profileCoach, speaker and facilitator, Julia Fabris McBride is dedicated to helping individuals and organizations know themselves deeply, and then use that knowledge to align actions with values, forge powerful connections, and do good work in the world.

Individual coaching clients include executive directors and key staff of nonprofit organizations, small business owners and entrepreneurs. Julia's clients live in communities across the country, but they share a deep commitment to community service and creative expression.

Julia is an International Coach Federation Credentialed Coach and a graduate of Coach University. She is a certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and as a Body-Mind Life Coaching™ Specialist. She was recently appointed coaching project director by the Kansas Leadership Center, and is working with KLC to develop a leadership coaching certificate program.

An associate of the James P. Shannon Leadership Institute (St. Paul, MN), Julia facilitated their yearlong program for renewing community leadership in 2004 and 2005. She is a member of the adjunct faculty of the University of Chicago's Graham School of General Studies, teaching classes in leadership for nonprofit executives. She regularly leads workshops for groups such as Theatre Communications Group (NYC); the National Association of Realtors; Americans for the Arts (Washington, D.C.); the Donors Forum of Chicago; the Illinois Arts Alliance; Friends of the Chicago River; Symphony in the Flint Hills (Strong City, KS), the Atlanta Board of Realtors, Kansas State University and others.

Julia is president of the International Coach Federation Wichita, Kansas Chapter. She is an accomplished public speaker and workshop leader on topics such as resilient leadership, work/life balance, purposeful living, navigating transitions, and avoiding burnout. Prior to launching her own business, Julia served as deputy director for programming at the Illinois Arts Alliance.

Active in Chicago theatre from 1985-2005, Julia holds a BA in Theatre from Case Western Reserve University and is a graduate of the 3-year acting program at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

She lives with her husband Bill McBride and their son Luke in Matfield Green, Kansas, where she is a member of the board of the Pioneer Bluffs Foundation.

My office is in this Santa Fe Railroad bunkhouse one mile north of Matfield Green, Kansas. It was built in 1924 to house railroad workers and renovated eighty years later as three small apartments.
